The chicken tacos were delicious. The chicken quesadilla was good. The chicken flautas were the best! The chicken had a lot of flavor and the cheese was yummy!
The service was great! The gentleman behind the counter was polite.
Great Mexican meals! I highly recommend the restaurant. -

This is a super small, casual joint with good Mexican food. The place is scrunched so probably can't comfortably seat more than say 16 people.
The items we got were small, but I liked that each item was fairly cheap so that we got to try a lot of things. For example the Quesadilla and Nachos were both very small servings, but only $3-4 were both very good. We also had a couple tacos. I liked that the fish tacos were grille and pretty well flavored. My husband enjoyed his al pastor tacos. It was a one man show when we were there, so things can be a bit slow. We'll be back for sure! -

Great food. Small place very good Menudo but owner is not making it often enough, as he use to do before

Hands down my favorite taqueria in the area. Right up there with the top places in SF. No matter
What I order the ingredients are always fresh and flavorful. Tonight I went with the classic carne asada burrito, but the burrito Jalapa is amazing too! Sometimes it can get a little busy so it's a good idea to order ahead. Highly recommend!! -

It was a thrill going to Tacos Jalapa. I used to stop by here often because it was on the way home from work but that's no longer my route so I have overlooked the place.
Wow. Same owner, same menu, same food. And that's a good thing.
This is an authentic taqueira. One way I judge a taqueria is whether the menu has the non-gringo offerings -- cabeza, lengua (and rarely, sesos). These are flavorful meats from pieces of the animal that cause Americans to make a face. Ironic, since these parts are from the face.
Anyway, get yourself two, three, four tacos for $2 each and enjoy the slow-cooked, deeply spiced ingredients piled on a pair of fresh tortillas.
Don't expect much in the way of decor or much space here but it's comfortable enough, the owner is kind and works hard, and there's a little space outdoors to enjoy your terrific tacos al fresco.
